Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Cinematographer & Visual Storyteller to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cinematography (or 7+ years if transitioning from a videography background)and a strong ability to craft visually stunning images that bring the director’s vision to life. This role demands creativity, technical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of current industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Visual Storytelling:
- Capture stunning, cinematic visuals that align with the director’s vision and project goals.
- Develop and present storyboards and mood boards to communicate creative concepts effectively to the team and clients.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and guide thecamera team and crew to achieve the desired shots.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Head of Production, director, and other team members.
Technical Expertise:
- Operate and manage various types of cameras, gimbals, drones, and other essential accessories.
- Provide guidance to drone pilots when necessary and ensure all shots align with project objectives.
Lighting & Equipment Mastery:
- Demonstrate expertise in lighting design and gaffer skills, ensuring optimal setups for each scene.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest camera and lighting technologies, incorporating them into projects.
Color Grading:
- Have moderate skills in color grading using DaVinci Resolve or similar software to enhance the visual impact of projects.
Industry Awareness & Trends:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in cinematography by exploring relevant sites, films, and creative works.
- Continuously enrich your visual perspective and apply insights to projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Moderate video editing skills using tools like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or similar software.
- Experience in motion graphics or related visual arts.
- Familiarity with client-facing communication for creative discussions and presentations
Portfolio Submission:
Provide a portfolio demonstrating a range of editing styles and high-end video projects, showcasing creative and technical expertise.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in cinematography or 7+ years in videography with a focus on cinematic quality.
- Strong leadership and team work abilities with excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in operating diverse camera systems, gimbals, and drone setups
- Demonstrated experience in creating visually compelling storyboards and mood boards.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
